The GECCO Early Years Eco-Sustainability Conference was an industry first, offering advice and guidance on how to become a more sustainable early years setting, whether home-based, private day nursery, pre-school or school.
Attendees found out:
why offering sustainable education is good for our children, their families and our colleagues
how offering sustainable education saves nursery owners and managers money
how to use the GECCO system to find out what to do, how and when
what products, awards and finances can help you take action
Speakers included Cheryl Hadland, MD of Tops Day Nurseries (31 nurseries across the South/SouthWest) and founder of the GECCO charity, whose aim is to share good sustainability practice in the early years sector and Nicky Edwards, nursery group owner and NDNA Chair, plus a range of suppliers presenting on services, utilities and equipment.
