Nurturing in the early years: What the science tells us

Providing a safe, secure and nurturing early years environment is essential to ensuring that children can fully learn, develop and grow. Research tells us that nurturing an emotional relationship is the primary function needed for intellectual and social growth.

Early years academic Aaron Bradbury draws on established research to discuss the impact that nurturing has on children. He will also discuss the development of the human brain during its earliest years and explore what we can do to nurture young children at this time.
