Providing a safe, secure and nurturing early years environment is essential to ensuring that children can fully learn, develop and grow. Research tells us that nurturing an emotional relationship is the primary function needed for intellectual and social growth.
Early years academic Aaron Bradbury draws on established research to discuss the impact that nurturing has on children. He will also discuss the development of the human brain during its earliest years and explore what we can do to nurture young children at this time.
The session will give you five interlinked take away ideas of how we can develop nurture into our everyday practices to support the unique abilities of every child and encompass a holistic lens to the child’s development.
