Nursery World Show Safety Measures

As organisers of the Nursery World Show, we regard the health and safety of everyone participating in the show of paramount importance. Any measures that are put in place at the event will be to ensure the safety and comfort of all those onsite.

We are continuously monitoring any changes to government guidance and are working closely with our venue partner to incorporate appropriate, balanced measures from the events sector's All Secure Standard to ensure that the event itself can be run as safely, and as accessibly as possible. The current measures we are employing are detailed below. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Nursery World Show for a safe and enjoyable event!

COVID-19 status checks

All attendees (visitors, exhibitors, speakers, contractors, venue staff and event team) to the Nursery World Show, must be able to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status for entry to the event.

This will need to be one of the following:
  • proof of completion of a full course of vaccination two weeks prior to arrival.
  • proof of a negative lateral flow test result taken within 48hrs of arrival*.
  • proof of natural immunity as shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.
*If your proof is a negative lateral flow test and you are onsite for multiple days, this will need to be retaken and reported again every 72hrs. We recommend if this applies to you that you bring additional tests with you when you travel.

Although it is not mandatory to implement COVID-19 status checks at trade-show events, we believe by doing so we add an additional layer of reassurance for all attendees.

- in accordance, with NHS and Government guidelines, there will be a small number of exemptions for individuals who have a medical reason which means they cannot vaccinate or test.
- individuals under 18 will not be required to demonstrate their COVID-19 status. However, we recommend that these participants still take a lateral flow test within 48hrs of arrival.

If you have COVID-19 symptoms then please DO NOT enter into this event and follow the current government guidance.

  • Please check your government advice for guidance on travelling overseas before entering the country.

Face Coverings
It is no longer mandatory to wear face coverings, however, we do encourage you to wear a face covering in crowded areas or while in close proximity to other people.

We ask that you carry a mask with you at all times and be courteous to those around you by wearing a mask in areas that may become busy and in sessions taking place in enclosed spaces.

Social Distancing
We have introduced 3m aisles where possible across the entire event to encourage social distancing.

Please remember to respect the space of others and, if possible, avoid handshaking or hugs - consider an elbow bump instead.

Hand Sanitiser
Please carry your own hand sanitiser and apply when you enter and leave exhibitor stands, features and theatres.

There will be dedicated hand sanitising stations available throughout the exhibition and venue.

We have asked exhibitors to ensure a deeper clean before, during and after the show opens each day.

Along with the BDC, we are conducting a thorough, enhanced cleaning regime of all public areas and features prior to show opening and during show open periods.

Track and Trace
When you register for the event, please provide accurate information.

QR codes will be available to scan at registration and the relevant local authorities will contact you if there's a need to update you regarding track and trace.

Business Design Centre - Venue Advice
The BDC is currently operating in line with government advice.

Thermal imaging cameras have been installed in the reception area and loading bay to detect body temperatures of those arriving into the building.

The cloakroom at the BDC will be in operation.

Visit the BDC website for more information here:

Enhanced Cleaning
Along with the BDC, we will ensure a thorough, enhanced cleaning regime of all public areas, with particular attention to high-touch points.

This will be in operation throughout the duration of the show.

As organisers of the Nursery World Show, we are very grateful for everyone's co-operation with and support for these measures.
